Rookie - Pending Adoption's Story

Meet Rookie! This gentle, easygoing 2-year-old, 75lb boy is proof that some dogs just come with the best personalities already built in. Rookie isn't looking for anything fancy in life, just to be close to his people.

Rookie is the definition of a loyal companion. Whether you're lounging on the couch or going about your day, this boy wants to be right there with you every step of the way. He is calm, affectionate, and for the most part a pretty quiet guy, he'll only speak up when something important needs your attention, like someone at the door or activity in the neighborhood. Think of him as your very own doorbell, just cuter and much more cuddly.

This guy is absolutely wonderful with kids! He remained calm and unfazed even when surrounded by excited, energetic children and one of the sweetest things he does is hop right onto the trampoline to join in the fun, because if his people are doing something, Rookie wants to be included. He is believed to have been raised around children and it absolutely shows.

Because Rookie is a strong boy with a naturally curious nose, a securely fenced yard is suggested for his new home. He loves his people deeply, but interesting sights, smells, and sounds have a way of calling his name and this guy has the strength to answer! A fenced yard will give him the freedom to safely explore while keeping him out of trouble.

Rookie is soon to be neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $250 and you can apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adopt/
