ROO's Story

Bio for Roo he is available so yay!
Meet Roo! Roo arrived at the shelter in rough shape—covered in bite wounds and suffering from a swollen face. Despite everything he had been through, Roo’s gentle spirit never faded.
Now healed and feeling so much better, Roo is slowly discovering that people can be kind. While he’s still timid, dedicated volunteers have been helping him build confidence, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch him start to come out of his shell. Beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet, gentle boy who takes treats with the softest touch.
Roo clearly enjoys being outdoors and is most comfortable exploring the world around him. Because he’s most likely never lived inside a home, indoor spaces can feel a little scary and unfamiliar, and he may need patience as he learns that a house can be a safe place too.
He’s met other dogs and has shown himself to be friendly, though his excitement can sometimes make him a bit pushy. With guidance and continued socialization, Roo has all the potential to be a wonderful canine companion.
Roo would thrive with someone willing to give him the time, patience, and love he deserves. In return, you’ll gain a loyal adventure buddy who is ready to discover all the joys life has to offer. After everything he’s endured, Roo is finally ready for a chance at the good life—and he’s hoping someone will show him just how wonderful it can be. Roo's adoption fee has been paid for with a donation from Tim Pantle
