Roo Rat Terrier & Chihuahua Mix Ridgewood, NJ

Roo is a Chi mix, who is about 18 months old. He was found severely sick and emaciated, having survived the brutal streets of Texas along with his Big brother Tigger. While we would love for Roo and Tigger to be able to stay together, we understand it's harder to find a home for two dogs. We are looking for a home for Roo with another dog.

Roo is missing a part of his front leg from an injury that occurred before he entered our rescue. Though he a lil’ tripawd he has no trouble keeping up with the big guys. Roo loves hikes and toys and movie marathons!

Roo was abused in his old life and so sudden movements, loud sounds or lots of energy, including kids, can scare him. While he has gone to an incredible doggie training facility and is a stellar students, a home without kids, or calm children ages 12 and up would be best. Roo will need patience and slow, gentle reinforcement as he adjusts to his forever home.
