Roo 's Story

Roo came to us from someone whose dogs had an accidental littler. He had little to no human interaction for the first 6 months of his life causing him to be extremely timid and shy around new people. Roo has been going to daycare and training at a facility in San Antonio called Pup Pup and Away. While he has made some progress with new people he is still very shy. He does wonderful with any dog he meets and loves to play with other pups. Our vet currently has him on daily anti-anxiety medication to help him with braving this new world he has found himself in. Once he's comfortable with you he's a playful little cuddle bug, but getting comfortable with you is going to take some extra time. He is almost fully house trained (using potty pads) and needs some extra encouragement walking on a leash. Roo needs a family who can be patient with him while he learns to trust people. He will need someone who can work on his timeline without pressuring him to open up too soon. For more information or to meet this sweet boy send us an email at roscosrescuetx@gmail.com

Rosco's Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have weekly adoption events where potential adopters can meet our dogs. Once someone sees a dog they like they fill out the adoption application. After filling out the form we then do a meet and greet if they already have other dogs. If that goes smoothly, we proceed to the overnight visit at their home. If the overnight goes well and the application is approved, we proceed with the adoption and have the contract signed. When they do a two week follow up to make sure everyone is still happy with the decision. From then on we periodically check in to get updates on our dogs.
