Roo's Story

Neutered Male
1.5 Years Old
67 Pounds
$175

Roo is a handsome 1.5-year-old mixed-breed boy weighing in at 67 pounds, and he’s ready to find a family to call his own! Roo is a smart, friendly guy who already knows his sit and lay down commands and is eager to keep learning.

Roo has lived with cats and did well with children of all ages, including both younger and older kids. In his previous home, he did have some conflicts with male dogs. His family wasn’t sure whether Roo was the one starting those disagreements, so slow, careful introductions to other dogs will be important.

Roo isn’t a fan of car rides, but he has plenty of wonderful qualities to make up for it. He is looking forward to meeting a family who can give him the love, structure, and adventures he deserves.

Could Roo be the big-hearted boy you’ve been looking for?

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!
We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.

Want to Know if I’m Still Available?
Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability.
