RONNIE's Story
If you’re ready to help a sweet and sensitive adolescent pup grow into his best self, then look no further than Ronnie! This kiddo can sometimes take a little time to warm up to new friends, but once you’re his buddy, he’s a silly, bouncy bundle of zoomies! Ronnie’s currently working on perfecting his leash-walking skills, and loves using snacks for positive reinforcement training. He’s also the kind of guy who’s ready to end the outing by curling up on the couch for some cuddles—the best of both worlds. Ronnie needs a little more help with some of his training and manners than most teenage dogs—he’s been pretty worried for close handling such as veterinary care, and he has a hard time sharing his food with others. Ronnie is looking for an adopter with some patience, kindness, and the willingness to help this sweet and silly guy build confidence in these areas throughout his life. If there are any children in the home, Ronnie would do best if the children are also ready to help with his training plan. Ronnie could potentially go to a home with another dog, or with a dog-savvy cat, with complete separation to start and a slow introduction. Our dog adoption process would include an on-campus meet with Ronnie and your resident dog, to see if they are a good match for one another. In order to best set Ronnie and his adopters up for success, please note that Ronnie is not a same-day adoption.
