Ronin

Ronin is a cat-like sweet baby who is just as happy curled up on your couch in his “croissant” position (or with his paws crossed like the regal gentleman he is!) as well as on a long walk around the neighborhood. Ronin has never met a squirrel he won’t chase, or a treat he won’t sit for! He is great on walks (still getting used to walking on a leash without pulling, but he’s just excited to explore and be out of a kennel!) and while he takes interest in most people walking past, he is not reactive, just interested. He will get excited when he sees other animal friends, but overall, he has a calm demeanor. He has captivating multi-colored eyes, a gorgeous brindle coat and an ever perked up ear! This guy has the silliest personality and is quick to show it. He loves a belly rub, holding paws with you to let you know he wants more pets, snuggles on the couch, and playing with his toys! He will rest his head on your lap while you work, lay in his kennel just to watch you work and be near you, but he knows his boundaries. He loves to be close, but when it’s time for him to go to sleep, he will gladly curl up on his end of the couch and sleep ALL NIGHT!!! He is potty trained and has mastered the art of elevator rides in a matter of just a few days. Even with other dogs barking at him, all the smells and new people, he is so brave! At first, they were new and scary to him, but he made me (his foster mom) SO proud! Another dog barking at him in the lobby? Not phased! If I am eating and not sharing, do I get a side eye? Sure! But he doesn’t beg. Believe it or not, this sweet fella isn’t crazy food motivated. While he is more on the rotund side, he still thinks he is a lap dog, and that's fine with me. He will eat his kibble buffet throughout the day as he pleases. Roni is great in his kennel when necessary. He may have to be lured in with some treats, but once in his crate, he settles down right away. I have yet to hear him bark once. Ronin would be a perfect addition to any household, and his forever family will be truly lucky.
