Romeo Kane's Story

Kane was surrendered to the rescue because he was/is a very mouthy puppy. He easily gets overstimulated and when he does he shows his excitement with nips. Unfortunately he broke skin on a child while he was overexcited. In the time that he has been fostered in Myrtle Beach, January 2022, he HAS NOT shown any signs of aggression. He is just a young dog that communicates with his mouth. Kane picks up on energy very easily. His foster mom is very level and calm and thus he is always calm around her. People have come over to her home that are high energy people and Kane is immediately excited and getting nippy. This is a dog that should go to a calm home that has the time to put into training and understands breeds that are stubborn, high energy.

He is fantastic on leash. He is great in his crate. He tends to be on the lazy side most of the time, but he definitely gets random bouts of the zoomies. He is completely house trained and has not had any accidents inside. His foster home has a doggy door that he is learning to use. He has been in homes with other dogs, but since he’s been in his foster home he had ringworm that is being treated and has been kept separated from the other dogs until his skin scraping comes back negative.

If you would like to adopt Kane, please visit our website here at BTRMission.org and look over our adoption process.
