Romeo & Juliet - BONDED PAIR NEED IMMEDIATE FOSTER's Story

Romeo and Juliet need a new place by next week!

They CANNOT BE SEPARATED

Unknown with Cats and Children

Resident dogs in the home must not be reactive!

They need emergent foster needed for their safety due to shift in environment with reactive aggression of existing dog in home.

Their Foster States: Extremely bonded pair with a dependent relationship that prevents them being broken up, but it’s the sweetest relationship that you’ll ever witness! It’s ironic that Julie is black and white because she is seen as a “shadow” always following closely behind or beside Romie.
A fence is a must! Prefer to be the only two dogs in the home.

Romeo (answers to Romie - pronounced as Roamy): White neutered male, estimated birthdate 08/2024. Gentle soul who loves to cuddle, calm and sweet, very loving, pierces your soul with his soft loving stares into his human’s eyes. Enjoys being outside with Julie. No escapes from large dog run nor backyard to date but a fence is a must! Potty trained and utilizes a doggy door like a champ! Looking for a human they can cuddle; loves belly rubs, giving kisses, and being within touching distance of his human. Will do almost anything for treats! Learning to use toys but not skilled at anything catch-related (yet). Knows basic command of sit and comes when called with “come on, let’s go” or “let’s get a treat”. No crate training but does well with being able to access outside during the work day through a doggy door to explore and enjoy the cool air. Loves to be outside and you can often find him enjoying the cool concrete or ground outdoors on his belly, even during winter months. No experience with cats or small kids. Does not do well with reactive dogs.

Juliet (answers to Julie): Black and white spayed female, estimated birthdate 08/2024. Cautious soul who loves to be around brother (Romie), calm and sweet, very shy; looks to Romie for “safety” - bond with Romie and she’ll be right there with him taking his lead but she does take longer to build trust. Once she does, be ready for cuddles and kisses! Skilled at giving consent by smelling your hand or face first, once she starts licking, that’s her consent for pets but will back away or flatten her ears if she’s not ready. Enjoys being outside with Romie. No escapes from large dog run nor backyard to date but a fence is a must for these known escape artists! Potty trained and utilizes a doggy door like a pro (minor indoor accidents when she’s feeling scared from loud noises or sudden movement). Looking for a human she can trust and be patient with her; loves behind the ear rubs, booty scratches, giving kisses, and being within touching distance of Romie. Will do almost anything for treats! Learning to use toys and prefers hard chewers (Nyla bones etc.) but will run off quickly with your shoes if you’re not careful! Knows basic command of sit and comes when called with “come on, let’s go” or “let’s get a treat” - a bit more stubborn than Romie, and in true husky fashion, commands are a suggestion and she decides when she listens. She’s a talker when she’s comfortable, get ready to be serenaded! She needs patience and understanding. She is sensitive to shifts in moods and environment but does extremely well with consistency! No crate training but does well with being able to access outside during the work day through a doggy door to explore and enjoy the cool air. Loves to be outside and you can often find her enjoying the coolness of the snow/ice in winter months.

We supply all physical needs: food, toys, harness, leash, collar, bed, crate or pen and all necessary vet care. We need committed fosters to love them, help them become adoptable, supply photos and bios along with getting them to any necessary vet appointments and adoption events when qualified.
