Romeo's Story

Age: 6 years
Weight: 55lbs

Romeo is a big, fluffy, breathtakingly handsome boy with the sweetest soul to match. Don’t let his size (or breed!) fool you — he’s currently thriving in a studio apartment and is incredibly well-mannered, calm, and content. He’s fully housebroken, not vocal, and happiest when he’s simply lying by your side, keeping you company throughout the day.

Romeo is deeply loyal and just wants to be near his person. He clearly aims to please and is so appreciative of love and attention — you can see it in his eyes. He absolutely adores giving kisses (to humans and dogs alike!) and has been wonderful with my other dog, showering her with gentle affection.

He’s a true gentleman in every sense. He won’t chew on anything unless you tell him it’s his — he actually waits for permission before taking a toy. He’s respectful of the home, incredibly tolerant, and perfectly happy having his paws handled or being wiped down to keep his gorgeous coat fresh and clean.

He loves his walks and enjoys getting outside, but inside he’s calm, relaxed, and easy. Everywhere he goes, he gets compliments — he’s truly stunning.

Romeo was abandoned at a daycare in Texas and lived there for a year before being transferred to a rescue - it’s honestly impossible to understand how anyone could have let him go. Romeo is the kind of dog who makes you feel chosen. He would be the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal, affectionate, well-behaved best friend.

If you’re looking for a devoted shadow with a fluffy coat and a heart of gold, Romeo is your boy.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt Romeo, apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt.truenorthrescue@gmail.com to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE.
