Romeo's Story
**Please note, we have a limited adoption region. For more details, please visit our main site**

Romeo is a black, 5-year-old male. He's cropped and docked, but his ears don't stand. Romeo was originally turned in to the pound by a single mom who didn't have the time to devote to him. He was then adopted by someone who thought the best way to deal with mild separation anxiety was to strike him with a newspaper while getting him inexplicably splattered with white paint and starving him to a mere 72 pounds. He was a minimum of 15 pounds underweight when he was returned to the shelter. Romeo holds no grudges, though, and has proved to be a perfect gentleman with impeccable house manners and a wonderful social nature with people and his 3 dober siblings. He has regained his appetite and is putting on weight nicely. He will need to be placed in a home with another dog and will need a structured environment to give him the security he needs to keep his anxiety at a minimum.
