Rolland's Story
Rolland is truly one of a kind, with a personality that's just as special as his appearance. His front legs are, what we jokingly describe as being "put on backwards." When he first came into our care, we were convinced he would eventually need a set of wheels to get around—which is actually how he got his name! Thankfully, after being evaluated by an orthopedic specialist, we were told that he is doing wonderfully on his own and, for the foreseeable future, does not need any mobility assistance.
Rolland gets around by walking on his little "nubbies," and the best part is... he has absolutely no idea he's any different from any other dog! He plays, explores, and keeps up with his kitten foster siblings without missing a beat.
His favorite activities include rolling his treat ball, wrestling with his kitten friends, and curling up in a warm lap for cuddle time. One thing to know about Rolland is that he is a world-class kisser! If you offer him your lap, be prepared for lots of sweet little kisses—he hands them out as generously as candy on Halloween.
Rolland doesn't require any medications or a special diet. The only extra care he needs is a quick daily check of his little nubs to make sure there aren't any sore spots developing. So far, he hasn't had any issues at all.
He also loves going on social outings to places like Lowe's and Marshall's. He absolutely soaks up the attention when people stop to tell him how adorable and special he is. You can practically see his confidence grow with every compliment!
