Rogue 's Story

Hi, I’m Rogue. I’m a 3-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog, about 75 pounds of loyalty, brains, and heart. I may look striking on the outside, but what really makes me special is how deeply I bond with my people.

I grew up in a home where I learned a lot, and I’m pretty proud of my skills. I know how to sit, say hello, lay down, roll over, come, and stay, all with both verbal and hand signals. I’m also trained on whistle commands for “come” and “go”. I’m a smart girl who thrives when I’m given clear communication and consistency.

I’m completely potty trained and kennel trained, and I handle routines like a pro. I’m a busy, active dog, so engaging toys are important to me, the tougher, the better I say! Squeaky toys are my weakness, especially my beloved rubber pig squeaker. Once I find it, I’m very proud of it and like to keep it close. I do best when my toys are respected as mine.

When it comes to food, I’m highly motivated and very easy to win over. I’m cautious with strangers at first, but give them some blueberries and suddenly they’re my best friend. I love fruit scraps, meat scraps, and peanut butter more than just about anything. I do have a potato allergy, so a grain-free, salmon-based diet is best for me, along with probiotics to keep my tummy and coat feeling great.

I get along well with other dogs, both big and small, though I truly prefer my people over canine companions. I’m very loyal and loving, and once you’re in my circle, I’m all in. I don’t really enjoy pushy, alpha-type female dogs, but with the right introductions, I do just fine.

At my core, I’m a devoted, affectionate companion who wants to be part of your everyday life. I’m spayed, up to date on vaccines, and I’ll have my health certificate ready before adoption. I’m looking for a family who appreciates a smart, trained, people-loving dog and wants a true partner by their side.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with personality, intelligence, and a whole lot of love to give, I just might be your girl.
