Meet -Roger in Maine

Roger is a sweet 10 year old lab/hound mix. He is currently residing with 3 lovely labs, 2 males and female, two cats and a foster mom and dad. Roger is at his silliest with the female lab. They love to play and wrestle. Roger enjoys the company of other dogs and is always thrilled go out for their daily family walk in the woods together. He is also very good at entertaining himself with just a toy. He brings a toy along with him on walks, even though most of them are rags by now. He loves to have you chase him and engage you in a game. He’s a Velcro dog!

Roger shows his affection for his foster parents by always being by their side and ready to offer his head to their lap for a gentle rub. He is happy to share his affection with all the visitors who come to his home. Roger is housetrained, he has had no accidents in his foster home and at times has signaled to the door. He knows his sit, down, and paw command and has been pretty consistent with his recall command. He enjoys car rides.

Roger is doing so well with his foster family and its little pack of dogs and cats. He would love to find his perfect, permanent home! Roger has separation anxiety, so he needs a home with more than one person, where someone in his family would be home much of the day. Once he has settled into a home, he can be left for short amounts of time, but it will take some time to get to that point. He also needs 1 or 2 easy going canine companions to romp around with, and a bed where he can share it with his family. No small children, though he does fine with older ones. If you would like to know more about this sweet old boy we would love to talk to you about him. Please feel free to contact Old Dogs New Digs at woof@olddogsnewdigs or PAWS Brave Hearts at 207-454-7662 or pawscalais@yahoo.com.
