Rogan's Story

Rogan is a handsome sweetheart. The name Rogan is Gaelic for 'red' - his coat colour. He loves to play with toys, with people, with other dogs, and on his own. Rogan is not a barker, but he is a communicator. On occasion, he will “talk” to you explaining his thoughts. He is a golden/husky/poodle mix, crate trained, eager to learn, and a very observant young man. Rogan eagerly gives kisses to his 15 pound (7 kg) foster brother - and anyone else in licking range. He takes treats gently and calmly.

He is clean in the house, and progressing with walking on leash without pulling. More training is required on how to meet new friends calmly. Although we were told he was born August 2024, we believe he is a few months older. Nevertheless, he still thinks and acts as a puppy. Our vet gave him a clean bill of health. He has a COI of zero on his DNA test.

Rogan needs someone who can gently, quietly, and firmly manage an alpha dog. Rogan’s happy enthusiasm is infectious. But his speed and exuberance may be overwhelming for small dogs or young children, and cats. His new home will require a fully fenced yard or access to regular exercise. He would greatly benefit from a dog companion to run and play with him. Rogan is a kind hearted, dedicated, adventurous, and joyful companion.

We now offer a 2 week foster to adopt program We only accept adopters who live in the GHTA - Greater Toronto Hamilton Area of Ontario.
