Rodger's Story
Rodger (approximately 84 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. With enough wrinkles on his forehead to rival a ski slope, this boy's good looks will get your attention while his sweet & goofy nature will keep you coming back for more. His foster mama reports that Rodger is a lover boy who ADORES being in his humans' personal space. He thinks he's a lap dog and will lay his head in your lap for petting. Rodger is a (mostly) gentle giant with good manners; he is a medium energy fellow who likes to go on walks but he also enjoys a good nap or some time to chill with his dog siblings. He would thrive in a home with other dogs that like to play with large dogs. Rodger has the tail of a Great Dane - if you know, you know - as well as the ability to somehow be a baby while also being a full grown man. Rodger has other Dane-like qualities, including an initial reservation with strangers...but he is easily won over with treats & praise. If you love a big, goofy, fun-loving dog who has the ability to chill while also being the cutest man to ever play with toys, Rodger is your guy!

If you'd like to meet Rodger and all his friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed).
