Roco's Story

2026 has barely begun, and already rescues are once again feeling the impact of unwanted litters. This is a problem that is entirely preventable. Spaying and neutering saves lives—full stop. Dogs rely on us to make responsible choices for them, and when we don’t, puppies like Roco end up paying the price.

Roco and his two littermates are the result of one of those unplanned litters. Through no fault of their own, they entered a world already overflowing with dogs in need of homes. What is different for them is what comes next. They will be spayed/neutered. They will not be passed from home to home. They will not be left outside on a chain or forgotten in a backyard. Animatch has promised them something better: a real chance at a good life.

Roco is about 4–5 months old and is expected to grow into a very large dog (Shepherd x Mastiff). That means his future depends on action taken now. Training must start immediately—before he reaches 90+ pounds—not later. Puppy classes, continued guidance, and daily exercise in all kinds of weather are essential. He gets along well with other dogs, and having a calm, well-balanced canine role model in the home would be a big plus. Because he’s still a big, goofy pup learning his manners, a home with older children would be best.

Roco didn’t ask to be born into an overpopulated world—but he is asking for a family who will commit to him for life. If you believe in being part of the solution and can offer Roco the home he dreams of, please fill out an application. You just might be the lucky one chosen to meet this wonderful big guy.

BREED
Shepherd x Mastiff
GENDER
Male
AGE
DOB Sep. 14, 2025
SIZE
Very large
CHILDREN
8+
DOG FRIENDLY
Yes
CAT FRIENDLY
TBD
ENERGY LEVEL
Medium High
GROOMING LEVEL
Low

TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION OF THIS DOG, PLEASE VISIT OUR WEB SITE: www.animatch.ca AND FILL THE APPLICATION ON LINE.
*** calls and e-mails will not be answered ***
