Despite his handsome gray muzzle, he is a youthful 6-year-old with plenty of energy, recently tackling a four-mile Sunday field trip with ease. He was polite greeting new friends at a café, affectionate with his human companions, and navigated a "gauntlet" of distractions with impressive composure, only barking once—and only because the other dog barked first!<br/><br/>Rocky Road is looking for a home without cats or free-roaming small animals, and because he can be selective about his canine friends, we encourage potential adopters with dogs to bring them for a meet-and-greet to ensure a good match. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!<br/><br/>Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Michael R. Frey Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
