Rocky's Story
Meet Rocky – A True Survivor with a Heart of Gold

Rocky is a 2 year-old shepherd mix with the soul of a warrior and the heart of a teddy bear. Rocky came to us unable to bear weight on his back right leg — an old injury he had been living with for over six months. Despite the pain and hardship, Rocky greeted the world with a wagging tail and a trusting heart.

X-rays revealed the severity of his injury, and thanks to the dedication of his medical team, Rocky has undergone three surgeries to give him the best possible chance at a full, happy life. His injured leg is now 3–4 inches shorter than the others, but don’t let that fool you — Rocky is full of life, love, and spirit. He gets around just fine and has never let his difference slow him down.

Rocky loves people — he soaks up affection and thrives on companionship. He’s also a big fan of other dogs and would do wonderfully with a canine buddy to play and snuggle with. After experiencing the love of a caring home during his recovery, Rocky now struggles with being alone. He’ll do best in a home where someone is around more often than not, or with another friendly dog to keep him company.

Rocky’s story is one of resilience, healing, and hope. Now, all he needs is a forever family to complete his journey.

Could you be the one to give Rocky the happy ending he so deserves?
