Rocky's Story
Age: 5 years
Weight: 4 lbs.
Adoption Fee: $400
Fostered in Texas
Email: linsyorkies@yahoo.com

2/28/26 – Rocky Update:
Meet Rocky — part bat, part werewolf, part mogwai… and 100% adorable. Behind that sweet little tongue and those tiny “fangs” is a pup who has been living with significant dental disease and severe bone loss.

Rocky was recently evaluated by a Veterinary Dental Specialist. After reviewing his x-rays, she does not believe he is a candidate for bone grafting due to the extent of bone loss in his jaw. The good news? He still has five teeth that she hopes we can preserve with careful management and professional dental cleanings every six months. His first specialized dental procedure is scheduled for March, when she will get a much closer look at everything under anesthesia.

Our goal is simple: keep Rocky comfortable, pain-free, and able to enjoy his meals and his life.
Specialty dental work — and ongoing six-month cleanings — are costly. As a small rescue, cases like Rocky’s stretch us, but we will always say yes when a dog needs us.

If you’re able to help with Rocky’s care, we would be so grateful. Every single donation, no matter the size, helps us keep our promise to him. Despite his petite size, Rocky has a big heart and an even bigger tail wag for everyone he meets. Friendly, gentle, and always happy to see you, he's the kind of dog who makes your day better just by being in it.

Rocky gets along great with other pups and would love a doggy companion in his new home. He’s currently not housebroken and wears a belly band to help manage accidents, but with patience and consistency, he’s sure to learn the ropes.

He's also in the process of getting some much-needed dental care. Once his smile is feeling better, he’ll be ready to find his furever home where he can finally relax, be loved, and get all the snuggles he deserves.

If you're looking for a loyal little companion with a heart of gold (and a tail that never stops wagging), Rocky just might be your perfect match. ?
