Rocky

Rocky is an 11 month old Poodle/Lhasa mix who weighs 18 pounds. He's an exuberant and energetic guy who loves to play and take brisk walks. He's super affectionate and loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. Rocky has a charming, happy personality and loves everyone he meets. When we're at the dog park he will go up to people for a pet in between romping around. He's a BIG eater and is probably making up for lost meals when he was on the streets before ending up at the shelter. He is an athletic guy who would make a great jogging partner. Rocky is not a big barker and although he whines a bit when I leave, he settles down quickly. Rocky is totally housebroken and we've been working on no jumping up on people. He's great with kids but it would be best if there were no toddlers in the home. The only bad trait Rocky has is he's a MAJOR DOOR DASHER! He's like a roach and can slip through the smallest spaces. He's very stealth about it so it is absolutely critical his owners be aware of that at all times. For dogs like this we strongly recommend putting an air tag (or tile) on the collar. I have one on him. Fortunately the times he's gotten out he doesn't take off. He just wants to explore and has come to me when called. He would do best in a house with a secure yard that he can enjoy however he still needs to be walked (or taken to a dog park) for stimulation.
