Rocky Comics's Story

After being surrendered to Long Beach Animal Services, shelter staff advocated for 11-year-old Rocky's safe exit, describing him as sweet and affectionate. Since his arrival as a Frosted Face in May 2025, he has become a volunteer favorite, and our wish for the new year is that Rocky finally gets the wonderful forever home he deserves. Could it be with you?

At 41 pounds, Rocky is a perfectly mid-sized pup. Visit him in our play yard, and you will likely find him leaning against your legs, soaking up the moment with his full-body cuddles. He knows basic cues like "sit" and "shake," takes treats gently, and walks nicely on leash.

Rocky is active and fun-loving without being over the top. On our weekly FFF Sunday hikes, he can easily do 3 or more miles, He has even been paddleboarding and was a total pro - balancing like a natural, hopping back on after swims, and calmly enjoying the ride. Despite Rocky's love for being on the go, he knows how and when to relax.

Rocky does well with the dogs in his play group and is always happy to make a new human friend. Whether you are looking for a hiking companion, a loyal sidekick for outdoor adventures, or a calm and affectionate binge-watching buddy at home, Rocky will fit right in.

To meet Rocky Comics, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
