Rocky's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

If you would like to take me home please complete a Pet Adoption Application

Male, Cane mix. Click on name for more info. This boy and his brother, Toby, were born in November of 2021, and surrendered to us in August of 2022. The two of them had been running around a neighborhood and causing all kinds of havoc. Needless to say, they had no manners or training prior to coming in to us and the world was shut down during this time, so socialization was a problem. The boys are a Cane Corso mix and weigh in at approximately 70lbs, we have them housed in the sanctuary part of Camp because of their size. In the sanctuary part of Camp the dogs have a room not a kennel, a bed, tv, radio, and a guillotine door to their own private pen, they can go in or outside as they please. Rocky loves his long walks and is strong on a leash, knows simple commands, and is sweet with staff. Rocky will need multiple meets to be comfortable with you as his person, and any others in the household that live there. NO children under the age of 18 years old. Corso’s are known for their protective behavior, so a low activity household is best. At 4 years old, this boy is more Corso than whatever he is mixed with, thus living up to his breed. A breed experienced owner is best. Rocky loves his car rides and lying in the sunshine in his pen, “chatting” with his brother Toby in the next pen over!
