Rocky's Story

Rocky’s story starts in a way no dog ever deserves. He was found running through the forest with a bullet wound to his head. Thankfully, he was captured quickly, rushed to the vet, and stitched up. Against the odds, the injury—while serious—turned out to be superficial, and Rocky made a full recovery. His only lasting reminder? One ear that sits just a little wonky, giving him extra character and charm.

What’s most incredible is not what Rocky survived, but who he is now. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s remarkably resilient, joyful, and full of life. Rocky loves other dogs and absolutely thrives in play—bouncy, fun, and always ready to engage. He has a good amount of energy and will need regular exercise and mental stimulation to be his best self. Like any Aussie, if his needs aren’t met, he can get a bit barky—but give him outlets and he shines.

Rocky can be a little apprehensive around men at first, so slow, thoughtful introductions are important. Our team is happy to show you how to continue building his confidence and helping him feel safe and secure.

He’s around 4 years old, housebroken, and truly a total gem. Rocky would do wonderfully with another dog in the home or as your one-and-only adventure buddy, as long as he gets the exercise and engagement he needs.

Rocky has already proven how strong he is. Now he’s just waiting for someone to show him what love, consistency, and forever really look like.

Apply to adopt Rocky at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRRA/Dog
