Rocky's Story

Meet Rocky!

Rocky is a 6 month old mixed breed pup (his DNA results are in the photos) who’s ready to find his forever home.

He’s a happy, curious, fun-loving boy with a big personality. Rocky loves playing with his foster siblings—both smaller and larger dogs—but because of his puppy enthusiasm, he may be a better match for dogs his size or bigger. He plays hard, naps hard, and is always down for a good snuggle with his people or his big foster brothers.

Rocky is very interested in the resident cat. He hasn’t shown any aggression or prey drive, but he would likely chase if given the chance, so a dog-savvy cat or a cat-free home may be the best fit.

He sleeps quietly in his crate through the night and does well being crated for a few hours when home alone. With a consistent routine, his house training is coming along nicely.

Rocky is doing great with leash walking using either a harness or martingale collar. He has a solid “sit” and “stay,” is working on “leave it,” and has pretty good recall (most of the time—he is still a puppy, after all!). He’s moderately treat-motivated but really thrives on praise and connection with his people.

He also rides great in the car—whether crated in the backseat or safely tethered up front—and has no issues with anxiety or motion sickness.

Rocky is affectionate, playful, and full of puppy charm. He’s going to make a wonderful companion for someone ready for a fun, active, and loving dog.

Interested in adopting? Apply here: 4allmuttkind.org/adopt
