Rocky 's Story

Meet Rocky — Tiny T-Rex, Professional Toe Hunter

Hello, my name is Rocky… and I’m just a baby. But don’t let that fool you—my foster mom says I’m a spunky little puppy, but I like to think I’m actually a T-Rex. Watch out, toes… I’m coming for you!

I’m a growing boy with a big appetite, so I’m very food motivated (training treats, anyone?). Once my belly is full, I’m all about those cozy naps. I love a good snuggle, but I’m also happy to nap or hang out in my kennel—it’s kind of my favourite place. I even go in there just to play or relax on my own!

I’m still learning my indoor manners, including how to tell you when I need to go outside. Right now, it’s best to take me out after naps and first thing in the morning. I sleep pretty well overnight, though I may still wake you up for a bathroom break—I really don’t like having accidents in my kennel (it’s my special sleeping spot, after all!).

I’ve recently discovered zoomies… and WOW, are they fun. You’ll definitely be seeing more of those as I grow! When I get a little overstimulated, I like to chew to calm myself down—so having lots of appropriate toys (not toes… ideally) will help me be my best self.

If you’re ready for a goofy, cuddly, slightly dramatic little dinosaur to join your family… send in your application soon. I have a feeling I won’t be available for long 🐾💛

Born: January 26th, 2026
Breed: Husky mix
Gender: Male
Size: Expected to be large
Activity Level: Puppy
Cats: Yes
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes
Adoption Fee: $395

If you are interested in meeting Rocky, applications can be found here:

http://mgpr.weebly.com/dog-adoption-application.html

Thank you to Sunny S-H Photography for the beautiful photos of Rocky

Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue's Adoption Policy
The adoption process starts with an application form to find out more information about your family to ensure the best fit for the dog. Applications can be found at http://mgpr.weebly.com/ Second step is to have reference checks and vet checks. We want to ensure all dogs go to responsible loving homes. Thirdly, is the meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting. We encourage all members of your family to be in attendance at this visit as the dog will be an integral part of all of their lives. The final step of the adoption process is a home visit from one of our team members. The home visit allows us to see the environment in which the dog will be living as well as to offer any tips and advice to making your home dog friendly. Then your new family member will come home to shower your family with unconditional love.
