Rocky's Story

Rocky is a 10-month-old pup (DOB 1/11/25) who has come a long way from his rough start in life. He didn’t get much socialization early on and wasn’t treated with the love he deserved, so he’s still learning to trust people. He’s timid at first, but with time and patience, his sweet personality begins to shine through. Watching him gain confidence—especially when he’s playing with other dogs—is absolutely heartwarming.

He loves other dogs and really thrives in their company, though he can be a bit too rough with tiny dogs, so supervision is needed when he plays. Rocky would do best in a home with another calm, confident dog who can help guide him and show him how to just be a dog.

Because of his shy nature, Rocky would be most comfortable in a quiet home with older, well-mannered children who understand that he needs time and space to settle in. He’s not house- or crate-trained yet, but he’s smart and willing to learn with gentle guidance and consistency.

Rocky doesn’t require a husky-experienced owner, but he will need someone who understands fearful dogs and can provide calm, steady leadership. He’s not the kind of dog who will want to jump right into public outings or busy settings, but with love, structure, and patience, he’ll continue to blossom and gain confidence at his own pace.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion and have the patience to let him grow at his speed, Rocky may be the perfect match. He just needs someone who believes in him—and a canine buddy to help him discover how good life can be.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete and submit an adoption application.
