Meet Rocky

Meet Rocky!
Rocky is a super sweet, adorable, active, playful little man. The vet thinks he is about 1.5 to 2 years old. Rocky loves, loves, loves playing and racing around a fenced yard with another active dog so we are requiring him to go to a home with a securely fenced yard and a similar activity level of dog companion, not a senior dog, who will not appreciate, or be able to keep up with him. He does fine with dogs who are bigger than he is, as long as they are playful with him he really wants to be chased!
Rocky is unhappy and can be vocal when left alone, but a doggie playmate will help him burn off some energy and reduce his separation issues. He is not a good choice for apartment living because he can be loud, and he doesn’t like children.
Rocky has intermittent stranger danger issues so he needs cautious introductions to new people. He also has some resource guarding issues so he really needs a human (or humans) who have experience with training and leadership. He needs to have boundaries.
Adoption Process: We are not first come first served. Indigo Rescue focuses on finding good matches between dogs and families to ensure life long adoptions. We deliver all dogs to their new homes. All of our dogs are in foster homes.

If the dog you're interested in seems compatible with your lifestyle we'll set up a time for you to meet the dog privately.
PLEASE NOTE: Indigo Rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton because our volunteers deliver all of our dogs to their adoptive homes. We work very hard to create a family of our Indigo Rescue adopters because we want to be close enough to help in case there are any problems. We want everyone to be happy and successful!
**ALL of our dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and rabbits come vaccined to their age, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
