HI! My name is Rocky and I am male border collie x Siberian husky dog approximately 4-5 yr old. I was rescued by Herding Haven from a shelter in Utah where I had been picked up as a stray. My foster mom describes me as sweet and affectionate. A real "gentle giant", I'm a big, fluffy boy weighing just under 70 lb. Because of my thick undercoat, I do not like the heat and while I adore the snow, if it melts (i.e., water) I am not a fan! I have a low to moderate energy level. I enjoy a nice walk and a short play session, but after that I really just want to chill out by your side on a comfy dog bed or preferably the couch. I am good with other dogs and great with people. Because of my size, I would probably not do well in a home with small/young children (I might knock them over). Older , dog savvy kids (> 8yr) would be fine. I'm a smart boy and know how to "sit", "shake", "roll over" and "lay down". I am house-broken, know how to use a doggy door and don't need to be in a crate because I'm not destructive.
