Rockwell is a 1-year, 9-month-old sweetheart who has spent nearly his entire life waiting for a family to call his own. He entered rescue at just 12 weeks old after suffering a broken tibia and fibula. Despite the challenges he faced, Rockwell never lost his loving spirit. When his fibula healed in a twisted position, he underwent a second corrective surgery at 1 year and 4 months old. Today, he has a straight leg, has recovered beautifully, and is finally ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a forever family.<br/><br/>Because Rockwell has been in rescue for so long, he has formed a strong bond with our director, who lovingly cared for him throughout his recovery. He is excellent with other dogs, both big and small, and is known for taking treats with the softest touch. He is also curious about cats and has done well with dog-savvy feline friends who are comfortable around dogs.<br/><br/>When he's not cuddling up beside you at bedtime, Rockwell enjoys stretching his legs and running through an open field or exploring a dog park.
