Sweet Senior Alert: Meet Rocko! Rocko is a handsome approximately 9 year old Great Dane/Lab mix who came to us very underweight. He's now up to about 75 lbs and continuing to gain the healthy weight he deserves. Rocko is the definition of a gentle old soul. He loves slow walks, car rides, and most of all—being loved. He enjoys his dental chews (and proudly sits for them!), and loves curling up on his bed for a good nap. Rocko has impeccable house manners—no accidents and he's comfortable in a kennel. He truly aims to please. Rocko needs to have very slow intros to dogs in home . He isn't reactive out and about, but he prefers to have his people all to himself once indoors/resource guards them from other dogs. Rocko is good with cats and LOVES KIDS! All he wants is a family who will give him the love, care, and affection he's missed out on. He is an absolute sweetheart and we adore him. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion who's ready to soak up all the love you have to give, Rocko is your guy. He will make someone a cherished companion.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, negative heartworm, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster based, volunteer run, rescue. As such, we do not have a physical location or hours for you meet any foster dog and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is complete you are able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application. We complete vet and reference verification. 3. Once approved, we schedule a home visit and meet and greet. WHAT WE REQUIRE: To ensure the safety and health of your new family member, we require that pets currently in the home be altered, up-to-date on vaccinations, on appropriate heartworm and flea prevention, and that all pets be kept indoors. We will require physical fences for specific dogs that we feel will be necessary to ensure their safety.
