Rockefeller's Story

Welcome to The Rock! Or can you smell what The Rock is cooking? We're still deciding on a tag line for Rockefeller. This 3 year old French Bulldog came from a puppy mill and he's looking for a home with someone who has experience with Frenchies.

Unfortunately, Rockefeller will also do best with an owner familiar with surgical aftercare. Due to unethical breeding practices, Rockefeller will require corrective surgery to deal with Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS). North Paw will be covering the surgery but his adopter will need to be prepared to help him through his recovery once he's had this surgery to help him breathe.

In spite of his rough puppy mill start and his breathing troubles, Rock is a very lovable and funny little guy. He loves everyone he meets, on two legs and on four, and he loves going places, even to the vet clinic! He’s friendly with people, with other dogs, and even with cats. Kids might be his favorite people though.

He is very excitable but he’s working on it. His new home should be prepared to help him continue learning what constitutes good manners. Sometimes he jumps not to be aggressive but just because he’s very excited to see you. He’s also working on potty training. He’s gotten very good at peeing outside but pooping will require some consistent reinforcement at first, and the warm weather we are bound to see soon will help with that, too. He’s still learning all about the good life outside of the mill so it’s understandable he’s still working on being the best canine citizen he can be.

Rockefeller's adoption fee is $600! This adoption fee includes: his alter, his BOAS surgery, a microchip, his rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.

If you think he may be perfect for you, please apply using the link below!

https://www.cognitoforms.com/NorthPawRescue/NorthPawRescueDogAdoptionApplication

**Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.

**We require a 60 minute adoption radius. This dog is currently being fostered in Branchport, NY.
