ROCCO's Story

MEET ROCCO

Rocco is our handsome guy who has had a rough go of it in his short life. He originally became a lucky dog in the summer of 2020 when we got a final plea for a group of pitties that were going to be euthanized in Georgia. We were able to save the whole group but our facility was not finished yet to bring them to us. Rocco went to our partner rescue in Pennsylvania and found his forever home through their network. He was a very lucky boy to have been adopted for 2 years in a very nice home, but then his owner died unexpectedly. When the Pennsylvania rescue was not able to take Rocco back we said YES we will have his back and Rocco finally arrived at Lucky Dog in September 2023. We let him settle in and get his bearings and we decided that Rocco would be a good candidate for training at 203k9. Rocco can have some fear with new people, but once he knows you, you are his whole world. He walks like a dream now on a leash in a heel. With the 203k9 training we will introduce you to Rocco at their facility with his trainer. The training includes 3 follow up sessions as well as lifetime group walk support usually held on the weekends in Stamford, CT.
Rocco is about 5 years old and can't wait to find his furever home. If you think Rocco would be a good fit for your home please apply today at our website LuckyDogRefuge.com. We will then reach out to schedule a meet and greet in Stamford, CT.

To Apply:
https://www.luckydogrefuge.com/adoption-application.html
(Petfinder messages will not be seen)

NOTE: We do not know the exact breeds of our dogs; any mention of breeds are best guesses and not guaranteed.

YOU CAN ALSO APPLY VIA THE DIRECT LINK BELOW.

https://docs.google.com/forms/u/0/d/e/1FAIpQLSeU6eaT2iuiVIh1drpbr3DaeINNSs5z9MKV4DwY7SRt4XEUSg/viewform?usp=send_form&pli=1

Thanks for considering a rescue pup!

Lucky Dog Refuge's Adoption Policy
Generally, puppies and adult dogs have an adoption fee of $600; senior dogs have an adoption fee of $350. However some dogs may have a higher adoption fees based on the extent of their training or other factors. We also may have "legacy dogs" whose higher fee help offset the medical costs of some of our emergency cases. Fees are set at the discretion of the rescue. The adoption fees covers only a portion of the expense the rescue spends on the medical care, housing, and transport of each rescue dog; the rest is covered through fundraising efforts. - The first step towards adoption is to complete an adoption application, which can be found online at our website www.LuckyDogRefuge.com, under the “Apply Now” tab or at https://forms.gle/LXKMKSnagxLSad668. - Do NOT use the Petfinder links or email to ask us about our adoptable dog listings - we do not always receive these messages and will not respond to them.
