Robin’s FAQs

What is Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter’s adoption process?

ADOPTION FEES: Dogs are $120 and are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Cats are $50 and are spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, and can be microchipped upon request for an additional $20. A meet and greet is required prior to adopting, and If an animal is not spayed or neutered upon meeting, an adoption pending of $20 for a dog and $10 for a cat can be placed and they will be spayed/neutered for you and can be adopted the next day. If you are interested in adopting anyone you see, please stop by the shelter during our hours of operation to meet the animal. We highly encourage bringing along any other pets, kids, or practically anyone who will be living with the animal to make sure they get along.
