Meet sweet and curious Robbie!<br/>Little Ms. Robbie joined the Ruff Start STX Foster pack in November of 2025. She came to us very unhealthy with a bad case of Mange. She is now 8 months old and weighs 20lbs. She is house trained, good with dogs of all ages and sizes but has not been tested with cats. <br/><br/>Robbie was captured by having a sheet thrown over her when she was living on the streets of St. Croix. This has triggered some timidness when it comes to allowing humans to pick her up. Adopters should be willing to give her the space she needs to warm up to her new people on her terms. She may need to be medicated for visits to the Veterinarian. Robbie is a lovely dog and very affectionate on her terms. She is still learning to allow her humans to pick her up and love on her, but if she decides SHE wants to snuggle with you, she lets you pick her up and love all over her. This is especially true at night as she prefers to sleep in her fosters bed and snuggle in.<br/><br/>Robbie is not food aggressive, toy aggressive and has not had any issues with humans except she can be fearful at the veterinarians. She loves chew toys and playing with other pups. <br/><br/>Robbie needs an understanding home that will accept her for her faults and love her for who she is. If you feel you can offer this precious gem a safe haven, please consider adoption. She may be adopted here on St. Croix or stateside as we fly our pups to their adopters as part of the adoption fee.
