Robbie's Story

Look out! Here comes Robbie!
Meet Robbie, a dapper, 4 month old English Pointer. He is too young to be neutered, so as part of the adoption contract his owner will have to get that completed.
Robbie is, of course, a very gorgeous pup and a bit of a rarer breed. Given some trauma he's endured, however, we will be selective of where Robbie goes to Poor Robbie has not had a great start to his young life. He previously lived in a small apartment, and didn't receive the exercise or training that a young dog needs. As to be expected, this guy was starting to go a bit stir crazy. Unfortunately, Robbie was being punished very harshly just for being a puppy. This has led to him developing some anxiety, and he is going to need a patient owner who can help work with him the correct way without further traumatizing him. Robbie will especially need help with proper housetraining, as he has become so fearful at times that he will lose control of his bladder if touched by someone he's not comfortable with. We do not know if Robbie hails from hunting parents, but given the trauma he has already experienced in his 4 months of living, we do not feel he is a hunting candidate. We would be okay with adopting him out to someone who wants to try it so long as they have patience and are not going to get rid of him if he does in fact fail as a hunting dog.
Despite all of the hardships he has faced, Robbie is still such an energetic and fun-loving guy! He loves to have a good time, and definitely needs an active owner that can keep up with his needs. Being a sporting breed, Robbie has a HUGE amount of energy and will need the proper physical and mental exercise to keep him mind working. With the amount of energy he is, we will not be adopting him out as an apartment dog, as he will require more space than that.
Even though Robbie is a very adorable and young puppy, it is important to understand he is going to take a lot more work than your average puppy. It is important his new family works with Robbie while he is young to ensure the trauma and anxiety he endured doesn't stick with him into his adult years.
With the right home that is prepared and dedicated, Robbie is going to be a beautiful adult!
Robbie has been started on his vaccines and is ready to find a great home! If you think Robbie could be the pooch for you, and you're willing to open up your home to this poor guy who has not been given a chance yet, then come out and meet Robbie today! We will warn you - be prepared to fall in love!
