I am a very sweet, timid 6-month-old black n white parti Cocker boy with a natural tail. My mom loved me very much; I was her Velcro dog. She got me from a backyard breeder when I was only 13 weeks old. I was scared of everything. We shared a three-bedroom home with two other people and a 10-year-old child. There were also 4 Chihuahua's, two females and two males. At times, it got stressful and I got fearful and scared. I got along well with the girl dogs but not so much with the two boy dogs. This said, my mom sadly decided to ask for rescue help to find me a home that is a better fit. It was really tough for her to say goodbye to me and she cried.

I am a real sweet dog. I prefer women and will bond easily once I get to know you. I was never properly socialized growing up so I am scared of everything, especially noises. Your kindness and patience to help me thrive in a new environment is key to my being comfortable in a new place. I am now neutered. I will have my final adult shots late September. My ideal home is one with a female dog social companion my size, children 10 and older and a fenced yard. I do not do well with male dogs. Living with them stressed me out and made me fearful. I have no history with cats.

Adoption fee $500

Charlotte Cocker Rescue of NC, Inc's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process begins with an adoption application. Our board members will review all applications and contact you via email ASAP. We strive to match the best possible homes with the cockers we have in rescue that meets your family's needs. We do not do trial adoptions as it simply is not fair to the new families and to the rescue kids. Our beliefs are that the rescue animals deserve a second chance and our volunteer foster families provide a tremendous service helping us access each dog’s personality. By fostering them first, we are able to place them in a loving home with many details to their habits, likes and dislikes, and whether they do well with other pets and/or children. We do our very best when matching our rescue kids to the families adopting them. Once an application has been approved and the applicant's references checked, we will make arrangements for you to come meet your potential new family member. We encourage
