River's Story

Meet River!

River is our literal miracle baby. We saved her mama, Hazel, from a shelter on the day of her scheduled spay-abort surgery, and a week later, 12 puppies arrived on the 4th of July. River was born blue, struggling to breathe, and fading fast. After intense minutes of suctioning, CPR, and chest compressions, she took her first breath—and she hasn’t stopped fighting for joy since.

Having grown up at our facility, River has been wonderfully socialized with both people and other dogs from day one.

You’d never guess her rough start today. River is rambunctious, curious, and overflowing with life. To top it all off, she’s the only puppy in the entire litter of 12 whose ears stand straight up like little radar dishes, and we are completely obsessed with them! She loves tackling toys, investigating every corner, and making sure she’s right in the center of the action. River fought hard to be here—now she’s ready to find the forever family she deserves. Come meet her!
