Meet River, a 2-3 year old Great Pyrenees who had been found as a stray in Boone County. We believe he had been out for quite some time; he was horribly matted and had to be completely shaved. <br/><br/>River enjoys other dogs and is good with cats too. He is good with people however he is shy and a bit scared of anything new. We have noticed that he winces when someone attempts to pat his head; we expect this relates to some kind of previous abuse.<br/><br/>Overall, River is a typical Great Pyrenees. An ideal forever family for him is one with Great Pyrenees experience, a secure fenced yard, and plenty of attention and love to provide to this precious boy.
