River's story began alongside his buddy Banks. The two were found abandoned, hungry, and out of luck near a creek - a pair of little castaways sticking together through it all. Thankfully those difficult days are behind him now, and River is ready to trade survival mode for the safe, loving life every puppy deserves. With his goofy charm, affectionate nature, and bright enthusiasm, River is looking for a home that will embrace his playful heart and give him all the love he's been missing. C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

All animals are spayed / neutered before they are available for adoption. This helps reduce pet overpopulation in the Ozarks - the highest in the country. Each animal is current on vaccinations. Both dogs and cats must receive three total sets of vaccinations to prevent deadly animal diseases. All animals at C.A.R.E. are kept current on their vaccinations while in our care (All animals are vaccinated for Bordetella or "kennel cough", DA2PPV, CVK-puppies, DA2PPV, Lepto-adult dogs, FVRCP-C-kittens & adult cats). Dogs and cats above the age of 12 weeks old also receive their rabies shots and are sent home with a rabies certificate, collar, & rabies tag. If a puppy or kitten is adopted before they have received the total three vaccinations, it is the responsibility of the adopter to provide them. Each animal has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Worms are parasites that can cause serious damage to your pet. C.A.R.E. deworms all of the animals in our care.
