River

Meet River, an approx 11 month old Lab-type mix who came into the shelter system as a stray. Although we don't know the full picture of what River was up to before she landed with our organization, we do know that River is dog and kid friendly (cats unknown), and a super smart/food motivated pup. <br/><br/>River is fostered in San Diego where she is enjoying playing with her foster sister, Honey, and winning over her foster mom with her charm and silliness. River will be staying with our training team at the end of April to complete her her obedience and remote collar training that is a staple of the Hope2K9 Foundation adoption program. <br/><br/>When River is ready to go home, she'll be fully trained (crate, off leash conditioning, obedience, manners...) and her adoption fee will include all of her training tools, starter food, completed vet care for spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and heartworm testing, as well as two comprehensive go home training sessions before she leaves us. <br/><br/>If you're unfamiliar with our program, please go to hope2k9.com to study up on why our adoption fees and processes are designed very intentionally to attract and support rockstar adopters excited to maintain their new dog's training. <br/><br/>River is healthy, happy, and clearly a bit inexperienced in life. While she has shown some insecurity and uncertainty in new situations, she's very food motivated and eager to learn.
