Rito's Story

Meet Rito!
Rito is a 4 year old red heeler or Australian cattle dog. If you're looking for a calm heeler, Rito may just be your dog.
Rito is past his velociraptor stage, and is quite chill. He loves being part of whatever you're doing and is happiest simply spending time with his family. Add in his love for snuggling, and you've got one incredibly devoted companion.

Rito will follow you everywhere! Wherever you go, he isn't far behind. Making coffee? He's your assistant. Folding laundry? He's quality control. Watching a movie? He's already claimed the spot beside you. Even bathroom breaks aren't a solo activity anymore! He truly loves being part of his family's everyday life and wouldn't have it any other way.

If you're an active kind of person, Rito also loves walks, boat rides, and long hikes. He's the kind of dog who's just as happy exploring a trail as he is spending a quiet evening on the couch. Rito also loves water. Grab a hose, and you'll have one happy dog chasing the spray with pure joy.

Rito would do best with older children due to his herding tendencies. He does fine with other dogs who are not rowdy.
Cats are not recommended unless they are dog savvy. Rito is crate trained and potty trained.

Rito is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and current on heartworm preventions. He is more than ready to find his forever family.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who will stick to your side no matter what, Rito is your boy! apply to adopt him at
www.pawsofadamscounty.com/adoption-foster-app

When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly.
