RITA - don't pass her by's Story

Meet MARGARITA aka RITA!

Rita is truly the sweetest little girl! She is 16.2 lbs and estimated to be about 4 months old as of May 12th! We know that her mom is a husky mix (we have a photo of them together!). Her father, whom we named Nubz, is a shepherd mix who is the sweetest guy (we are working on rescuing him too despite him basically rescuing himself because he comes into our foster's property and living room regularly)! We expect Rita to be between 40-50 lbs. Not too big, not too small!

Rita is AMAZING with other dogs! She's incredibly sweet and playful while being respectful.

Energy wise she is somewhere in the middle. Not an off the charts puppy energy but definitely playful! She loves to play in the foster's property with toys and likes to run around with other dogs as well.

We think she would be absolutely fine with children given her sweet personality! Now is the perfect time and age for introductions!

Her story: Rita was rescued off the streets in the Vega Alta area and was taken into a foster home. She now temporarily lives in a lovely apartment complex where she can play and romp around in the public areas. This is only temporary as we are looking for her furever home!

**PLEASE NOTE: Rita is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship in cabin (as long as the dog is under the weight limit for the airline) with a person to many airports along the East Coast including JFK, EWR, PHL, BWI, DCA and many more! We are open to foster-to-adopt for her as well!

Please feel free to email us with any questions about her! See below for application info.

APPLY TO ADOPT HERE:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FDZ/Dog

For more information on our organization, please visit: https://www.flydogzpr.org/

Instagram: @flydogz_pr AND @flydogzpr_adopt

Any questions, please do not hesitate to email: flydogzpradoptions@gmail.com
________________________________________________________________________________
We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.

In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
