She's a total cuddle bug who believes she's a giant stuffed animal and lives for leaning in for hugs. <br/><br/>She enjoys car rides, walks nicely on leash (she's strong!), and is happiest when she can relax next to her person after a stroll. Rita is affectionate, silly, and absolutely lights up when she feels connected to her humans.<br/><br/>Like many dogs who had a rough start, Rita is still polishing a few manners. She's working on some issues related to potty training and can get a little mischievous if left unsupervised, so she should be crated when alone. We require potential adopters to fill out an application with vet and personal references. Then they must pass a home inspection before approval. Once approved we bring the dog to their home to make sure the dog they are interested in is a good fit.
