Hi! I’m Rita I’m a 4-year-old mixed breed girl with one major passion in life: PLAYING. If there’s room to run, a toy to chase, or zoomies to be had—I’m in. I’m a big gal with a big personality, and sometimes I forget just how much space I take up, so I’d do best in a home with older kids (over 5) who can stay on their feet when my excitement kicks in! I can be a little selective about my doggie friends, so meeting any potential canine siblings ahead of time is important to me. When it comes to people, though? I’m all about fun, affection, and adventure. I’ve got lots of energy and would love obedience classes to help me channel it—especially on walks. (Fun fact: we even have classes right here! ) Learning new things with my person sounds like the perfect way to bond. Great Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am-7pm. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18. -Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member! Adoption Requirements: - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. - For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets. - Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $450. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
