This very sweet two-year-old girl was dumped on the side of a road—and stayed there for days, refusing to leave. Even as people tried to help, she would run away, waiting faithfully for the person who left her behind.<br/>Despite everything she’s been through, Rita’s heart is still wide open.<br/>She’s about 36 pounds of pure love and joy, ready to share her gentle and affectionate nature with a family of her own. Rita has had puppies in the past, but she is now spayed, heartworm negative, and fully up to date on her vaccinations.<br/>Rita is both potty trained and kennel trained, making her an easy companion to welcome into your home. She’s also dog-friendly and does best with dogs her size or larger.<br/>Right now, Rita is stuck in boarding with nowhere to go, and she urgently needs a foster or—better yet—a forever home where she can finally feel safe and loved.<br/>Rita has been waiting long enough.
