Risk's Story

My name is Risk and I am a 6-month-old mixed breed puppy who weighs about 30 lbs.

With a name like Risk, you'd think I'd be fearless, but the truth is I'm still figuring out that the world isn't quite as scary as it sometimes seems!

When meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, I can be a little cautious and unsure. But don't let that fool you. Once I'm comfortable and know I'm safe, a completely different puppy emerges.

Back in the playrooms, I'm a silly, I play hard with other young dogs that can keep up with me, attention-seeking girl who loves having fun and being part of the action. I enjoy interacting with people and am always ready to see if someone has extra pets available.

As for my breed mix... your guess is as good as ours! I have big chunky paws, a stocky build, no tail, and a gorgeous short coat in beautiful dark sandy colors. Maybe there's some Pit Bull, Bulldog, Boxer, or another naturally bobtailed breed somewhere in my family tree. Whatever the mix, I think I turned out pretty adorable.

Like any young puppy, I still need all the basics: potty training, leash manners, crate training, learning what is and isn't a chew toy, and continuing to build confidence in new situations. The good news is that I'm at a wonderful age to learn and grow with my future family.

I'm looking for a home that understands that confidence doesn't always appear on day one. Give me a little patience, some encouragement, and a safe place to blossom, and you'll get to see the fun, goofy, affectionate puppy hiding behind those cautious first impressions.

If you're looking for a unique little sidekick with big paws, a big personality, and a whole lot of potential, I might just be your girl.
