Ripp's Story

What's up, my new best pals?! My name is Ripp and, right off the bat, I wanna get a few things straight: see, whatever size you think I am, you're probably wrong. I look kinda big in my picture, but if I tell you I'm some sort of Parson Russell/Jack Russell/Rat terrier type dog, you're going to assume I'm little. Surprise! I'm neither. I'm about 21 lb and leggy. The other misconception you might have about me from my photo is that I'm a dignified fellow. No way. That sounds super boring. I'd much rather be impressively silly 24/7.
I'm about a year old and I'm an olympic-level high-jumper and a three-time zoomie world champion. When I'm happy to see you, I get a bad case of the pogo-stick-legs and I bounce so high I might one day launch myself into orbit!
What I'm saying is, I've got a compact body, but a larger-than-life personality! I'm energetic, wiggly, and tenacious. Terrier to the CORE. And I'm a year old, so I've got young dog energy on top of that! I'm a super cute, super fun, super friendly boy and I want to go home with someone who absolutely loves that kind of dog and is able and willing to make sure my energy needs are met!
I do have my quiet moments, of course. I love to cuddle and will sometimes find ways to climb into your arms even when you weren't planning to pick me up. I'm good with other dogs (although it has to be a personality match, of course!) and have only briefly met cats. I was interested in them, but was easily distracted by the prospect of playing with my human friends. I'd like to do a more structured cat test before saying "yeah, I'm good with cats," but... y'know... it's promising.
All in all, I'm a really cool dog, super cute, and lots of fun. If you're a terrier person, I'm probably exactly what you're looking for. If you're the type of person who "just wants something really chill," I love that for you, but I am not that guy.
So let's do this. Come and meet your future trail buddy, playmate, daily walk motivation, and endless source of entertainment: me!

If interested please fill out a preliminary at odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.
