Ripley SJ's Story

Meet Ripley - a beautiful, courageous and loving female who had a very rough start in life, but has been given a second chance at happiness!

After spending many months in a kennel, Ripley is now settling into the comforts of a foster home and discovering what it means to be part of a family. At around 2 years old, this beautiful girl is full of energy, curiosity, and affection.

She's intelligent and eager to please, making every day with her an adventure. In the very short time Ripley has been with her fosters, this gem is fully housebroken, crate trained, and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. She also does well on car rides, which makes for a fantastic travel companion. Ripley hasn't yet decided if she likes other dogs, so the fosters are working hard with socialization skills.

She is also working on her manners and responds well to several commands like Heel, Fetch, Down, Sit, Stay, and Come, proving just how quick she is to learn with a little encouragement and her favorite treats.

Her foster family describes her as a people-focused sweetheart who loves to give kisses and soak up all the attention she can get. Whether it's a romp in the backyard, a walk around the neighborhood, or simply spending time with her humans, Ripley's happiest moments are those spent with the people she loves.

While she still has bursts of puppy-like energy and sometimes forgets her size when greeting new friends, she's making remarkable progress in her manners and responding well to gentle, consistent training.

Ripley is showing a strong prey drive and enjoys keeping an eye on squirrels and deer, so a secure yard with a tall fence is a must. Her prey drive suggest she might not be good with cats.

Ripley's enthusiasm for life is contagious, and her affectionate nature makes her an incredible companion. She would thrive in a home with people who are willing to continue her training, provide her with plenty of exercise, and give her all the love she deserves.

If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and playful pup who will fill your days with joy and laughter, Ripley might just be your perfect match. Come meet her and see why she's ready to steal your heart!

Ripley is a level 3 dog
