Ripley's Story

Ripley is a stunning Dutch Shepherd about one year old and is getting a new lease on life after being rescued within 30 minutes of being euthanized. His only crime is being a young energetic dog and the previous owner was unable or unwilling to put in the time to help him learn the ways of being a stellar dog and channeling his energies for good. He is now with one of the rescue's greatest foster parents who are making sure he puts on some weight and receiving the care he needs to prepare him for the next chapter of his life.

Ripley LOVES to play and he does so well with the foster's other young playful dog. He is also very respectful with his humans...even when he doesn't want to go into his crate. His foster parents said as soon as he learned where to go outside, he has excelled in holding it until someone lets him out. He even rings a bell! So, we can assure you this boy is smart! He is feeling braver with the fosters' older alpha and there have been some challenges. We are not sure if this was from a surge of hormones, but he was just neutered so this may settle down. Regardless, we are seeking a home with another submissive and playful dog who loves shenanigans but couldn't care less about asserting dominance. Similarly, he would thrive as an only dog with an active family. Again he is young and larger at 68 lbs. now, but should be more around 75. He has also done well with smaller dogs, but we will only approve families with larger dogs in case personalities don't mesh.

Ripley is up to date on vaccines and flea, tick, and heartworm preventions. He just needs a family to achieve his happily ever after!

Ripley is fostered near Dallas, Texas, but we offer extensive virtual meet and greets and access to the fosters to make sure it is absolutely the best fit. If approved, the rescue will transport to you!

If interested apply through this link: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RADD/Dog?fbclid=IwY2xjawUc1lpwZG9mBWV4dG4DYWVtAjEwAGJyaWQRMXRmclRMbWVOME42R25UalpzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeluNd87qgBS5JtUJgd7Y0dF6ufeRNn9tI_SC7n_J_jpgvLKS9s1cBHahu42Q_aem_PjbIcyz1Sdl5s56adLNzKw
